With a job search visa in New Zealand, I understand that my dependent?
If you're referring to the Skilled Migrant Category Job Search Visa, then you are correct. Your dependent children would need to apply for seperate visas. But they won't be considered domestic students and can't go to school free of charge. In general, it is extremely unlikely that you will be granted a job search visa. They are invitation only for people who would otherwise meet all other requirements of the Skilled Migrant Category. In almost every situation, it would be better to get a job offer and then apply for a work visa. Some work visas will then enable your children to go to school for free. Consider getting a job via the internet or enter NZ on a visit visa and then look for work.
